Policymakers, practitioners, and researchers around the globe have been acting in a coordinated manner, yet remaining independent, to achieve seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by United Nations. Remarkably, SDG-centric activities manifested huge information silo known as big data. In most cases, relevant subset of data is visualized using several two-dimensional plots. These plots are then used decide course action for achieving SDGs, whole process remains rather informal. Consequently, question how make formal decision data-generated critical one. This article fills this gap presenting novel decision-making approach (method tool). The formally makes decisions where decision-relevant than numerical efficacy proposed demonstrated conducting two case studies SDG 12 (responsible consumption production). first study confirms whether or not produces reliable results. study, datasets wooden polymeric materials regarding eco-indicators (CO2 footprint water usage) represented show that indifferent usage, whereas better terms CO2 footprint. correctly captures fact ranks materials. For other three (mild steel, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys) ranked six criteria (strength, modulus elasticity, cost, density, footprint, their relative weights. made available positions mild alloys. these Thus, outcomes can help those who wish develop pragmatic support systems leveraging capacity fulfilling SDGs.
